Pascal Roussel offers his services to Canadian and international companies and government agencies.
Pascal holds a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry and an Advanced Studies Degree (DEA) in Instrumentation & Measures from the University of Bordeaux I (France), as well as an Engineering Degree in Physics and Chemistry from the École Nationale Supérieure de Chimie et de Physique de Bordeaux (today ENSMAC (France).
This scientific background and long linguistic experience in English-speaking work environments as a research engineer and translator allows him to understand the precise meaning of technical documents in various disciplines, and therefore to translate them accurately in French.
He revamped his Web site focused parent company Spiderword, launched in 1995, with the creation of Exalingo in 2011 to provide technical translation services to various public, private and non-profit organizations.
Pascal also worked for seven years within the Canadian federal Translation Bureau and has been acting as a certified translator for more than 24 years (from 1999 to the end of 2024).
Before launching a new career in translation, Pascal has been involved in several fundamental and applied research programs in atmospheric sciences between 1982 and 1995 (publications list).
He has acted as a "certified translator" (Translator, Terminologists and Interpreters Council) untill dec. 31, 2024.
